When you start the game, you can choose how many letters the words shown will have. There are three ranges - small, medium and very long! Smaller words are not necessarily easier and larger words tend to be related to medicine. When you select the word length you will then be in the main game screen.
Here you will see the bomb! You will then see a clue to the word, picked at random from a dictionary, that you have to guess. You can see the clue to the word at any time by clicking on the "Clue" button at the top left of the screen. You can also restart the word game at any time by clicking the button at the top right, although you will loose any points you have gained.
Once the clue has been displayed, a number of dashes corresponding to the number of letters (as in hangman) is shown at the left. Press a letter on the keyboard to make a guess. Any letters that are not part of the word will be shown at the upper right of the window and will cause the flame to move along the fuse towards the bomb.
If you guess a word then you get a point, shown by a star. After 5 points you have won the game. If the flame reaches the bomb at any point in the game you lose, and the word being guessed will be shown.
